At last, us indie-punk upstarts Colour Me Wednesday are gearing up to record our long-awaited second album! Lots has happened since our 2013 début I Thought It Was Morning – in and outside of the band – and the new release will reflect upon our collective experiences of being young queer adults and trying to get by day to day.
To celebrate hitting the studio, we will be having an album showcase gig at DIY Space For London, playing new, never-before-played material alongside some old favourites. This is a one off show before we start recording and our only London headline show of 2017. To sweeten the deal, everyone who buys a ticket will be put on an exclusive list and will be able to preorder the new album and merch before anyone else!
This gig is associated with our friends in First Timers – we’ll be involved with their workshop stuff that is going on during the day, and will be the house band at Jam On Your Hands, a really cool intersectional jam session that people who are new to instruments are extra encouraged to participate in!
CHARMPIT: FT alumni ’16 with sassy pop hits and harmonies for DAYS!
JELLIE ROLLS: not gender roles, queer punx and FT alumni ’17 – real fresh!
There’ll also be a bunch of other fun stuff going on including a raffle (!!) and tasty vegan treats served up by the legends over at the Tipsy Black Sheep. Hope to see you all there, it’ll be a party! 😘😘😘
