DÉCALÉ (meaning): Being displaced in space and time.
When dusk arises, agitated spirits awake…
Décalé is a platform for nocturnal creatures, loud existential insurgents, and disobedient children.
A night to encounter experimental, collapsing and flawless sounds/visuals – a night for collective experience.
Together we will re-write reality for an alternate tomorrow.
Décalé is a new club night at DIY Space for London. Decale has been organised and programmed by cultural producer of the nomadic platform A- – -Z (www.abc-z.org) and DJ, Anne Duffau; and artist and DJ Chooc Ly (fka Spacer Woman), who played the closing set at DIY Space’s Second Birthday Party in September 2017. Chooc Ly and Anne look to showcase artists and musicians, who are often marginalised from current club culture, and provide a platform to explore dance music in the most expanded sense. Their club nights will encompass visuals, performance, live sets and DJ set’s, covering a range of genres including trap, bashment, afrobeat, techno, arabic futuristic club music, hip hop, acid, + everything in between and more.
