Edge of Frame presents a series of three screenings this summer at DIY Space for
London, focusing on the intersection between experimental film, animation and
artists’ moving image. Each event will feature a guest artist who will present their
work followed by a Q&A. Before this will be a programme of films connecting to the themes and processes of the guest artist’s work. The guest artists are Jordan Baseman, Chris King and Vicky Smith
EDGE OF FRAME PROGRAMME 1: JORDAN BASEMAN
Jordan Baseman is a visual artist, filmmaker and Head of Sculpture at the Royal College of Art. His practice combines creative non-fiction and interview-based works with hand-processed film and stop motion techniques. Jordan will show a selection of work followed by a Q&A. Preceding this will be a programme of films curated by Edge of Frame, connecting to the ideas of experimental documentary, moving image portraiture and abstraction which run through Jordan’s work, featuring films by Jesse McLean, Aaron Zeghers and more.
