I don’t know about you but when the vote came in for Brexit I was round Chunky’s place smashing vodka and poppers; and that’s exactly how I want to witness how Brexit happening. So, in that spirit, we’re throwing a kind of eurocentric punk show. Check out these bands…
10.30-11- The Dissociates Dissociates are a sarcastic London punk rock band between Fugazi and NOFX with a hefty dose of Wire and Pavement. They’ve played all over the UK and Europe with the likes of Joe Lally (fugazi),
SNFU, Get Dead, Red City Radio, Wonk Unit, Crazy Arm, Sweet Empire, Guerilla Poubelle and many more. Their critically acclaimed album ‘A capital idea’ came out in 2018 on Safety Second Records
Last show for a while so don’t miss them.
9.45- 10.15- Sweet Empire Four friends, sharing a love for independent music, came together somewhere in a small town in Holland in the summer of 2008 to establish their own musical kingdom: Sweet Empire.
They started to create songs that are melodic and playful, yet with a dead serious undertone.
The band has a strong opinion on animal rights, each other’s record collections, the environment, politics, and the great hoax: organized religion.
9.00- 9.30- We Bless This Mess We are meant to shine through our expression, through our existence. This life is unique and brings with it this gift of breathing. We Bless This Mess.
8.15- 8.45- Love Songs XOXO Absolute softies playing melodic tunes in south-east London.
7.30- 8.00- Calm- gorgeous melodic emo from Leeds.
So please come down and celebrate, commiserate, reminisce about that Calais booze cruise or that 18to30 in Marbella.
