Sisters Uncut are a feminist group taking direct action against cuts to domestic violence services. You might have heard of us before: maybe when we gained global media attention for storming the Suffragette film premiere, or the time we turned the Trafalgar Square fountains blood red.
In honor of International Women’s Day on the 8th March, we would like to invite all of our friends and allies to join us in taking a night off and celebrating Sisters Uncut.
There’ll be a number of spoken word artists and bands playing in the main room throughout the evening. Line up currently includes the amazing Liv Wynter, Xana and our very own Dream Nails. Full line up to be announced soon.
There will also be a showcase of all our Sisters Uncut banners, placards & materials, an archive of the press coverage we have received over the last year and unseen footage from our marches. Zines, badges and cakes will also be sold in the reception area.
The event is SOLD OUT but you can donate to show your solidarity here: https://tickets.partyforthepeople.org.uk/events/1719-sisters-uncut-fundraiser
There is a small booking fee but 50% of this is donated to Rape Crisis.
On the ticket website there is the option to buy a ‘donation’ ticket if you cannot attend the event but would like to donate to our cause anyway.
You will need to buy tickets before the event, as capacity is limited and it’s unlikely there will be any door sales!
