Our next public meeting is on Sunday 11th April at 1pm, on Lower Marsh, SE1 7AE. (Near Waterloo rail/tube!)

We’ve been working on opening up a cooperatively run DIY-based music, arts and community space in London along the lines of Wharf Chambers in Leeds. We’ve got some really exciting news, and need a lot of volunteers very soon!

Want to get involved? There’ll be a general discussion of the progress so far, and then we’ll split into working groups to discuss:

  • Building! Do you have practical, surveying or architectural skills? Experience of dealing with planning permission? Experience with making buildings accessible? A willing pair of hands to help with labouring?
  • Event planning! Are you a gig promoter or someone who has experience putting on other events, or who would like to get involved?
  • Communications! Can you help with building a new website? Promoting DSFL? Making the website work with disability aids?
  • Finance! Do you have accountancy skills? Experience with dealing with the finances of co-ops or charities? Experience with business rates and corporation tax?

Follow updates through the Facebook event or by following us on Twitter. If you can’t make the meeting but are still up for lending your skills, email us at and tell us what you can do and we’ll add you to our list of volunteers.
