Update on our financial situation

First of all, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who saw a post on Facebook, read our email or heard through word of mouth about our financial trouble and donated or came along to our birthday weekend to support us. Thanks to you, we can now afford to stay open into the new year!

Your generous support will generate an additional £14,500 over the next twelve months, BUT we’re not out of the woods yet. Due to an increase in costs we need to be bringing in more money consistently in order to stay open.

Therefore, Our goal as part of a secure and sustainable space is to double that amount—which works out that we’d need around 600 more people donating £2 a month, or just 250 more donating £5 a month!
Do it super easily here: https://diyspaceforlondon.org/friends-of-diy-space/

Here are some other things you can do to help:

1) Put on an event! Book here We need more busy events, fundraisers, workshops, you name it! If you want to do a benefit gig for us get in touch and we can help too!

2) Volunteer your time at an event, on the bar, membership desk or as the event coordinator, email volunteer@diyspaceforlondon.org or join our loomio, facebook or whatsapp shout out groups for when we need last minute help

3) Share this webpage, retweet us or share this facebook post, tell your friends!

4) Email us if you can contribute your experience of fundraising (particularly grant applications).
